AsiaSTA (Asia Software Testing Alliance) marked another milestone in its journey during the General Assembly held in Shanghai, bringing together its founding members — IDSTB, KSTQB, CSTQB, and JSTQB — for a high-level strategic meeting that shapes the future of software testing collaboration across Asia.

Represented by the Indonesia Software Testing Board (IDSTB), AsiaSTA took this opportunity to officially sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with its three fellow founding member boards:

  • China Software Testing Qualifications Board (CSTQB)

  • Japan Software Testing Qualifications Board (JSTQB)

  • Korea Software Testing Qualifications Board (KSTQB)

Representatives from the China, Japan, Korea, and Indonesia boards are signing the AsiaSTA MoU

The signing of the MOU reflects a unified commitment to long-term collaboration, regional alignment, and collective innovation in the software quality field.

Laying the Groundwork for the Future

The GA in Shanghai wasn’t only about formalities—it was a working session that mapped out AsiaSTA’s strategic direction and upcoming programs, including:

  • Cross-country knowledge exchange forums and technical working groups

  • Joint research and publications in software testing trends

  • Regional training initiatives and talent development

  • Inclusive expansion efforts to invite communities, universities, and industry partners into the alliance

“This MOU is just the beginning. We’re moving forward with a strong foundation, ready to roll out Asia-wide programs that empower professionals and raise the bar for software quality,” said representatives from the AsiaSTA Steering Committee.
